The young Jewish boy featured in this interview with TikToker, Hamzah Saadah, goes through a transformative experience from first believing thew propaganda he was told by his family and education system, to being challenged into questioning those beliefs and beginning to see that, maybe, just maybe, what he was told or thinks doesn’t make sense.
Watching his responses and facial expressions and seeing the moment the light bulb in his brain comes on, to trying to defend his old beliefs to the final moment of awakening is truly rewarding.
Hamzah does an exceptional job of just staying cool and asking simple questions from a place of truth and integrity which stumps the boy.
Kids in Israel are being taught to hate Palestinians and that’s completely WRONG. The impact of propaganda in Israel is profound, as kids are taught to harbor animosity towards Palestinians. This distortion contributes to a cycle of violence, where innocent lives, including children and mothers, are lost.

Israeli girl: I know there’s a lot of innocents were killed because of us, but we really didn’t have a choice.
Hamzah Saadah: Really? They willingly bombed a refugee camp with civilians. They willingly bombed hospitals and schools and other civilian buildings and cultural sites as well. What about the kids in Gaza that were killed? the 10,000 kids in Gaza? Did you need to kill them?

Hamzah Saadah: I don’t think you did. I don’t think it needed to happen. I think it’s unnecessary. I think they’re being killed because they’re Palestinian. What’s a kid going to do to you? What’s a five year old going to do to you?

Hamzah Saadah: I mean, half of the population are kids. There’s a million kids in Gaza and it’s a very dense populated area. 70% of the people that have been killed have been children and women.

Hamzah Saadah: Can I ask you a question? Let’s say Hamas, instead of going back to Gaza with the hostages, let’s say they went into an Israeli hospital and they took over the Israeli hospital with Israeli workers and everything. Do you think they should bomb the hospital? to kill Hamas? Do you think it’s okay to bomb that hospital if it was in Israel?
