The words of Ione Bellara, Spanish politician and psychologist from Podemos, echo a sentiment shared by many: enough is enough. The International Court of Justice has spoken unequivocally, highlighting indications of genocide and demanding an immediate cessation of civilian casualties caused by bombings and supply cuts.
Spain and other Western nations must step up and hold Israel accountable for its actions. This includes halting the sale of weapons and refusing to participate in any international event that allows Israel to whitewash its crimes, even events as seemingly benign as Eurovision.

Ione Bellara: And despite no longer making headlines or occupies television hours, the State of Israel is currently still committing genocide against the Palestinian people. We will not stop raising our voice and demanding that the Spanish Government do something to stop this genocide. The International Court of Justice has been very clear, there are indications of genocide and Israel must immediately cease the killing of civilians through bombings or supply cuts. Spain and other Western countries cannot continue to look away while thousands of innocent people are being massacred. The world will not be the same after this, colleagues. If UNWRA is terrorism, if the United Nations is terrorism, if South Africa is terrorism, if anyone who denounces the war crimes of Israel is labeled a terrorist, then everything is terrorism and nothing is. From here, I ask the Spanish Government to stop making excuses, tricks, speeches, and to stop selling weapons to Israel and to boycott its participation in any international event that allows Israel to whitewash itself, including Eurovision. I trust that the Spanish Government will do something concrete to stop this genocide.
