The US prepares a UN Draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire for approximately 6 weeks.
The US aims to link the ceasefire to the release of the remaining Israeli prisoners currently held in Gaza. As usual, the US doesn’t fail to disappoint. THEY’RE CONDITIONING THE STOPPING OF KILLING AGAINST MILLIONS OF PALESTINIANS!!
In her speech, US ambassador the the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield stated:

Linda Thomas Greenfield: I want to share an update on our efforts to build consensus around a Security Council resolution on the conflict in Israel and Gaza. As we promised when we put our draft forward, we were working in earnest with all council members to solicit feedback and edits, and last night we incorporated additional edits and we circulated a new draft which unequivocally supports the diplomatic efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire of roughly six weeks in Gaza, together with the release of all hostages. As we’ve all said repeatedly, this resolution is aimed at supporting the ongoing negotiations happening on the ground. There’s a deal on the table for an immediate ceasefire that will lead to the release of hostages and help surge of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in dire need. Now the ball is in Hamas’s court to accept that deal. We want this resolution, but we’re not rushing the resolution because, as I’ve said in many engagements, that the real action is what is taking place on, on the ground. But we also want this resolution to support what is taking place on the ground.
