FIRST AID SHIPS ARRIVE TO GAZA PORT!
March 16, 2024
Will this really help Gaza people?
The first ship carrying food aid reached the coast of the Gaza Strip yesterday, where hopes for a ceasefire to rescue the population from starvation suffered a new blow after Israel rejected the latest truce counter-proposal from Hamas.
The Open Arms vessel, carrying 200 tonnes of food, could be seen in the distance off the beach of the coastal strip, after it had been towed from Cyprus.
The charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) aims to deliver the aid on a temporary jetty, though precise details of how supplies would reach shore have not been made clear.
If the new sea route is successful, it may help to ease the hunger crisis affecting Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of people face malnourishment, while hospitals in the worst-stricken, northern areas, have reported children dying of starvation.
However, aid agencies have repeatedly said that plans to bring in aid by sea and through air drops will not be enough to satisfy the territory’s vast needs.
WORLD LEADERS MUST FORCE ISRAEL TO ALLOW AID TO ENTER THROUGH THE RAFAF AND EREZ CROSSINGS.
The Israeli government MUST tell its troops to STAND DOWN and STOP firing on civilians trying to reach humanitarian aid trucks! These are clear violations of international humanitarian law and Israel must be prosecuted for these breaches, otherwise it is a setting a precedent that other rogue states can use to get away with the same illegal behaviour!

English Script:
Ashraf Abou Amra: Here we arrived at Al-Baydar, west of Gaza City, where the first international aid ship arrived at the seashore this morning. The ship in the meantime is facing Al-Baydar area, and it is carrying out humanitarian aid operations through this ship towards small ships and small boats, and then it is taken out through the port that is being built at the meantime, west of Gaza City, specifically in Al-Baydar area. The first aid actually reached the Gaza Strip and the coast of the Gaza Strip as an initial experiment after the US President stated that this aid would be under American international supervision.
