An Israeli rap song titled ‘Shager,’ which means ‘launch’ in Hebrew, calls for occupation and ‘shooting rockets like rain.’
The song features lines from three Israeli artists, that can be interpreted as inciting crimes against Palestinians, particularly in Gaza. One line said, “they’re not ‘knocking on the rooftops’ anymore, today there are no warnings,” referring to the Israeli army practice of dropping a small bomb before dropping a larger bomb on a building to serve as an evacuation warning.
Another line said, “The army unites when it’s time to eliminate ,” and the chorus repeats “Israel, not Palestine, we’ve come to charge the price.”
