The Irish people are to be commended alongwith South Africa for their ongoing commitment to ensuring that Israel is held accountable for its war crimes and flagrant disregard for international law.
This week pro-Palestine protesters stormed a Lidl supermarket in Dublin to add “boycott stickers” on Israeli-made products after a Palestinian activist was assaulted by the store manager and store security while peacefully stickering Israeli products for consumer attention.
Ation for Palestine Ireland (@actionforpalireland) issued a statement after learning about the assault and converged on the store with stickers in hand and megaphone to denounce the actions of the store manager.
Activists say they targeted Lupilu baby wipes products because they are “manufactured in settlements in occupied Palestine”, and Lidl, because its “parent company Schwarz group has made huge investments in Israeli tech companies and in 2021 acquired the cyber security startup XM Cyber”.

They have funded the Zionist Israeli project by $40 million at a conservative estimate. Today we have stuck stickers on these Lupilu baby wipes because they are made in Israel. There’s a tragic irony that they are selling these baby wipes when babies in Palestine are dying of malnutrition. Babies in Palestine are having their brains blown up, their bodies decimated and destroyed by drone strikes. The very technology that the owners of this supermarket fund and own so we are here to take a stand to stand against genocide, to remember the proud history Ireland has at resisting empire and resisting colonial occupiers like the English, the Irish government right are now committing war crimes by allowing the genocidal state of the United States to send soldiers and weapons through Ireland.
