IRAN’S OPERATION “TRUE PROMISE” WAS A STRATEGIC WIN!
April 15, 2024Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, yesterday declared Iran’s attack against Israel a strategic success that achieved its intended objective.
“These strikes were designed to target a massive intelligence centre in Jabal al Shaykh (Mount Hermon) on the border with Syria. The centre relayed information that was used to attack the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Among the targets was Israel’s Nevtim Airbase,” he said which was the location from which Israel’s F-35 fighter jets launched their attack.
“The operation has now been concluded and will not continue as all of its objectives are met.”
Many are claiming that Iran’s retaliation was a failure due to Israel and its allies repelling the majority of Iran’s forces. What they fail to realise is the strategic approach by Iran in warning Israel and the US, of this attack to avoid escalation BUT still showcase the capability of its forces.
Israel now knows how far into its territory Iran can reach.

Mohammad Bagheri: The operation True Promise with the code name “Ya Rasoul Allah” was conducted overnight with success and achieved all of its objectives. These strikes were designed to target a massive intelligence center in Jabal al-Shaykh (Mount Hermon) on the border with Syria. The center relayed information that was used to attack the consulate section of the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus. Among the targets was also Israel’s Nevatim Airbase from which the regime used its F-35 fighters in the crime committed against Iran’s embassy. Both these targets sustained considerable damage and were destroyed. The operations saw the use of drones, ballistic and cruise missiles that penetrated the Israeli air defense shields, and the regime failed to counter these attacks in a meaningful way. The operation has now been concluded and will not continue as all of its objectives are met. If the Israeli regime carries out any acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic or its centers inside or outside Iran, our next operation will be conducted on a much larger scale.
