THE MODERATE ISRAELIS ARE FAR MORE DESTRUCTIVE THAN THE FAR-RIGHT

“The real danger is from the so-called moderate ones because… they established the occupation, they established the settlement project and they’re establishing now the apartheid system and they do it softly and therefore they’re much more destructive because nobody gets against them.”
This is very true! It’s easy to spot the far-right and their racist rhetoric. But the moderates approach it more subtly leading to greater oppression of the Palestinians because they don’t see it coming.

Gideon Levy: No doubt that the rhetoric of those fascists who would answer the definition of neo Nazis, would they be Europeans like, Bezalel Smotrich and Ben-gvir and those. No doubt that their rhetoric is written by far more extreme than the more civilized rhetoric of the centralist. Maybe their plans are much more crazy. But by the end of the day, the real danger is from the so-called moderate ones, because they boot the basic and they established the occupation. They established the settlement project and they’re establishing now the apartheid system. And they do it softly or relatively softly. And therefore, there are much more destructive because nobody gets against them. They do so-called normal seeing, say, you know, that the silent majority supporting both in Israel and the world, while the extremists at least create some kind of alarm. So we should concentrate on the mainstream of Israel. This is our problem.
