Sanjay Adusumili: There was one child who I had the most difficulty grappling with, and I still upsets me to talk about him to this day. He was a 12 year old boy who was at home, which was struck by a missile, and he had a huge penetrating injury to his abdomen, and there was an exit wound through his buttock. He came in with his intestines hanging out. And I remember seeing this poor kid, and I was treating him and his eyes were watching me, and he had this piercing gaze, almost this wanting for me to save him somehow. And I took him to the operating theater urgently. I had to staple off bits of intestine because he had holes throughout it. He’d lost his rectum, he’d lost his genitals, he’d lost his bladder, and he had the shards of intestine hanging out through his buttock. And I remember operating on him and thinking, am I doing the right thing for this poor kid? Is is this kid, if I save him, is he going to have a good life? So we essentially did what we could. We packed and compressed away the bleeding vessels in his pelvis. I remember having to pick away shards of bone that had shattered and was essentially dispersed around his abdomen, and there’s no intensive care bed, so he had to go back to the ward. He was fully awake. So in Australia, we would keep these children asleep and paralyzed until they recuperated. And unfortunately, that child passed away that night and he didn’t survive, but he survived only on Panadol. So he not only died, he died a death that was horrible, inflicted by pain. And that story, to me epitomizes a lot of the kids that come in. It’s just horrific injuries that they come in with.
Joe Biden: We are the biggest producer of support for Israel of anyone in the world. And so that’s two different things. Hamas cannot be allowed to continue. We continue to send our experts and our intelligence people as to how they can get Hamas.
Donald Trump: As far as Israel and Hamas. Israel’s the one that wants to go. He said the only one that wants to keep going is Hamas. Actually, Israel is the one. And you should let him go and let him finish the job. He doesn’t want to do it. He’s become like a Palestinian, but they don’t like him because he’s a very bad Palestinian. He’s a weak one.
