Ilan Pappe: God knows how the exchange of blows between Israel and Iran would, you know, unfold. It’s a bizarre exchange if you look at it objectively. Not one Iranian was killed in this exchange. Not one Israeli was killed. The only people who are being killed in large numbers are Palestinians and Lebanese. And yet, if you look at the headlines in the newspapers it says Iran and Israel are at war. It’s a very bizarre war if nobody is, you know, hurt, nobody is being, there are no casualties between Iran and Israel in this regional war. Which makes you think a little bit about this, to my mind, this whole regional war, you know, scare is serving Israel very well, serving the United States very well. It distracts us from the real issue, which is an immune international immunity for the genocide of the Palestinians and the genuine Israeli attempt to wipe out the Palestinians as a people, and as a country.
