One of the Palestinian prisoners released Sunday was the Leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khalida Jarrar. She has been held in administrative detention since December 2023 and reportedly spent the last six months in solitary confinement.
The human rights advocate and former member of the Palestinian parliament was imprisoned by Israel on multiple occasions for “incitement” after her public statements on the Israeli occupation.
