Aj Plus News: Airbnb and Booking.com Profit from Stolen Palestinian Land via Israeli Settlers
March 9, 2025Airbnb and Booking.com are enabling tourists to stay on stolen Palestinian land.
They’re two of the world’s biggest travel companies, and they’re advertising properties on illegal Israeli settlements.
The Guardian found that almost 350 properties across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are being advertised despite being located in illegal settlements.
The same areas that are being advertised by Israelis as “paradise” are places where Palestinians are being violently attacked and forcibly displaced from their land by Israeli settlers and soldiers.
Human Rights Watch programme director Sari Bashi says that Airbnb and Booking.com “are contributing to land grabs, crippling movement restrictions and the forced displacement of Palestinians – abuses that Israeli authorities commit in order to maintain oppression and domination over Palestinians as part of the crime against humanity of apartheid.”
