The Red Cross received five Lebanese detainees from Israel on Tuesday evening, weeks after they were captured by the Israeli military during the recent war.
They were transported to the Lebanese Italian Hospital in Tyre, southern Lebanon, for medical care.
Earlier in the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved their release as a “goodwill gesture” to Lebanon’s newly elected President, Joseph Aoun.
