EXCLUSIVE: Greta Thunberg Joins Gaza Aid Flotilla to Break Israeli Blockade – Zeteo
June 1, 2025
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg shares moments from the Madleen, a flotilla sailing from Catania, Sicily to Gaza carrying humanitarian aid including food, medical supplies and volunteers to try and break Israel’s systematic starvation of Palestinians in Gaza.
“We are watching a systematic starvation of 2 million people, a live-streamed genocide and the world’s silence is deadly that is why we have to keep trying everything we can, even if the odds are against us” said the Swedish activist @gretathunberg as she boarded the vessel alongside other humanitarian activists including Irish actor @liamcunningham1 @thiagoavilabrasi @taniasafi @nicolejenes @gazafreedomflotilla to try and break the illegal siege on Gaza and its civilian population: ”silence is more dangerous than sailing to Gaza”.
The flotilla has been equipped with a live tracker to ensure transparency, accountability and global solidarity. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla had to abandon its last attempt on May 2 despite its legality under international law when it was believed to have been bombed by Israel.
All eyes on the deck and praying for the safety of its brave humanitarian volunteers who are risking their lives to break the illegal siege on Gaza 🙏✌️ 🇵🇸
