Lebanese President to LBC International: UNIFIL Must Act to Force Israel Out

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met with UNIFIL’s new commander, General Diodato Abagnara, stressing the urgent need for Israel to withdraw from all five occupied sites in southern Lebanon.

Together with the Lebanese Army, UNIFIL must fully implement UN Resolution 1701 to restore Lebanon’s sovereignty and secure its internationally recognized borders.
