If There’s Nothing to Hide in Gaza, Why Ban Foreign Journalists? David Mencer Faces Mark Austin
August 13, 2025
If there’s nothing to hide in Gaza… why block the world’s cameras?
Nick presses an Israeli spokesperson: It’s not just about civilians killed in food lines or children starving. It’s about the deliberate leveling of Gaza. If the claims of starvation, destruction, and a plan to erase Gaza are all lies — then let foreign journalists in. Let them see for themselves.
When a government fears cameras more than weapons, it’s telling you something.

English Script:
Mark Austin: You’re paid to answer the questions. I’m paid to ask them. Let me ask you another one. It’s not just killing civilians in food queues is it? It’s not just the malnutrition. There’s something else going on, which is the leveling of Gaza, the destruction. If you are denying all what we say about starvation, what we say about the destruction in Gaza, what we say about the plan that is intended, why don’t you let foreign journalists in? Why don’t you allow us unfettered, unrestricted access to Gaza, as we get in most other war zones that I’ve been to and many of the correspondents here have been to. Why are you not doing that?
David Mencer: I’m just wondering if you ever get tired of this line of questioning.
Mark Austin: Questioning?
David Mencer: Firstly, listen to me, Mark. Listen to me. Firstly, because there’s no shortage of these images coming out of Gaza. You see them all the time. So what is this nonsense?
Mark Austin: But you just told me it’s all propaganda. You just told me it’s all propaganda. Literally, you just told me that.
