50,000 TONS OF EXPLOSIVES — more than what leveled Hiroshima have rained down on one of the most densely populated places on earth. The result? A toxic wasteland of cancer, poison, and death. Children are breathing in radioactive dust. Mothers are giving birth to babies with deformities. The soil, the water, the air all contaminated by Israel’s war machine.

Dr Mustapha Barghouti: 150,000 tons of explosives were thrown in Gaza. That is more than equal to eight times the explosive power of the nuclear bombs that were thrown on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If you calculate that it’s about 66kg of explosives for each man, woman and child in Gaza. No child is 66kg, so it’s more than the weight of children. These explosives are not harming people, just by their explosion, but they leave material on the ground, chemicals, depleted uranium, which will have a horrible effect in the long term on the population including a much higher rate of incidence of cancer.
