In a conversation with #AlMayadeen, UNIFIL’s Deputy Spokesperson Kandice Ardiel cut through weeks of speculation: the mission has seen no sign of new H3zb0llah military infrastructure, nor any evidence of armed movements south of the Litani River.
What UNIFIL has documented, however, is staggering—over 10,000 violations in the past year alone, the majority attributed to the Israeli side.
Ardiel underscored one of the most troubling issues: Israeli occupation forces positioned inside Lebanese territory. A breach of sovereignty that doesn’t just violate agreements—it obstructs UNIFIL and Lebanese Army patrol routes and prevents the mission from fully operating across South Lebanon.
She stressed that UNIFIL has repeatedly raised these violations with the Israeli military and continues to push for a complete withdrawal from Lebanese land.
