Activist Slams Australia Over Visas for Israeli Soldiers While Palestinians Are Denied Entry

The Australian government is currently granting visas to IDF soldiers so they can recuperate and relax after months of leveling Gaza. While these soldiers scrub the blood off their hands on our beaches, the very Palestinians they have spent months traumatizing and displacing are being denied entry.
Let that sink in. We are providing R&R for the perpetrators while slamming the door in the faces of the survivors.
This isn’t just a double standard; it is an active endorsement of ethnic cleansing. Our leaders have decided that a soldier’s exhaustion is more important than a Palestinian’s survival. We are hosting the executioners and outlawing the victims.
Australia is no longer just a bystander. By welcoming these soldiers while blocking suffering families, we are officially an Annex of the Occupation.
Shame on a government that offers a holiday to those committing a genocide while denying a haven to those fleeing it.

We are literally allowing IOF soldiers to come to Australia so that they can restore their self-confidence, treat their physical and psychological injuries, and regain control over their lives. I don’t think a bit of puppy yoga, some cooking challenges and surfing experiences are really going to help them heal from committing war crimes for over two years. Nothing these soldiers do will wipe their hands clean from the role that they played in the mass slaughter of civilians and children, but the fact that our politicians would even approve their visas is outrageous, especially when you consider the fact that Tony Burke didn’t approve the visa of a Palestinian D.J. who was supposed to come here for a festival. Pro-Israel groups lobbied to try to get her visa denied, and Tony, the spineless twat, simply didn’t approve or deny it on time. He just left it. This is the state of affairs in Australia. We welcome wanted war criminals with open arms, and we silence and punish Palestinians for doing fucking nothing.
