Australian Senator Demands Action After Israel Closes Zomi Frankcom Probe
August 22, 2026STATEMENTS ARE NOT ACCOUNTABILITY.
Australian Greens Senator David Shoebridge (@davidshoebridge) slams Foreign Minister Penny Wong after the Israeli military prosecutor officially dropped criminal proceedings into the 2024 triple-drone strike that killed Australian World Central Kitchen aid worker Zomi Frankcom and six international colleagues.
Despite the IDF admitting to severe operational failures, mistaken target identification, and violating open-fire rules, Israel concluded no soldiers carry criminal liability.
While Foreign Minister Wong called the decision an “outrage,” the Australian government refuses to enact country-level sanctions or impose military trade embargoes.
As Shoebridge points out, allowing an occupying military to “investigate itself” repeatedly results in total absolution for state war crimes.
Strong words do not protect aid workers or bring justice to grieving families. Real accountability requires concrete consequences.
EXPEL THE AMBASSADOR. SANCTION ISRAEL. ✊🇦🇺🇵🇸
