QATAR’S PRIME MINISTER TELLS PIERS MORGAN THAT ISRAEL REJECTED A PROPOSAL TO RELEASE ALL CIVILIAN HOSTAGES
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani told Piers Morgan that, immediately after October 7, Qatar approached Israeli officials with what he described as an agreement to release all civilian hostages, asking only for a temporary ceasefire window to facilitate their release. He said Israeli officials rejected the proposal and “didn’t even entertain the idea.”
The Qatari PM also explicitly condemned the October 7 attacks, calling them a massacre and saying those responsible should be held accountable. At the same time, he sharply criticized Israel’s subsequent military campaign in Gaza.
