Popular Palestinian activist, 22-year-old Ahed Tamimi, was released from an Israeli prison last night in the hostage exchange deal struck between Israel and Hamas. She was imprisoned earlier this month after sharing a post on Instagram “allegedly” belonging to her that called for a violent massacre of Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
She shared the post after her father was illegally arrested and placed under administrative detention the current Israel–Hamas war.
She was referred to as the “Child Lioness” by Israel because of her courage and fearless activisim to free her people.
