Greg Stoker: Boycott, divest, sanction. It’s how you apply economic and political pressure to an entity that’s acting naughty. Boycott, I’m not going to drink Starbucks anymore, A because it’s shitty, but B because they’re complicit. So that’s personal. Divestment is institutional. It’s where institutions no longer invest in companies that are associated with the entity that’s committing the crimes, and sanction is for states. We no longer trade with someone like Iran, that’s a sanction. We no longer buy gas from Russia, that’s a sanction. That’s BDS. And it begins with pumpkin spice lattes.
