October 29, 2024Last night, photos posted by an Israeli soldier from the Givati Brigade’s 435th Battalion once again *confirms* the harrowing reality being endured in Gaza: The soldiers caption that coincided with the photos on telegram confirm the man seen blindfolded in the picture is that of an abducted Palestinian civilian in Northern Gaza forced into Israeli army uniforms, used as bait and human shields.
The man shown here—identity unknown—joins a disturbing pattern uncovered in recent months.
In August 2024, a Haaretz investigation, (later corroborated by CNN in October), revealed the systematic use of Palestinian civilians, uninvolved in any alleged wrongdoing, as human shields to survey tunnels and buildings in Gaza.
This is the same battalion that detained medical staff and committed massacres at Nasser Hospital this April.
