وزير بريطاني سابق يشيد بالطلاب المتظاهرين: “لفلسطين الحق في أن تكون دولة”
مايو ۲۱، ۲۰۲٤أشاد وزير الخارجية البريطاني السابق السير “آلان دانكن” بالمحتجين الطلابيين المؤيدين لفلسطين، قائلًا إنهم يملؤون الفراغ الأخلاقي الذي خلقه السياسيون غير الكافيين.
وقال وزير الدولة السابق في وزارة الخارجية والكومنولث في المملكة المتحدة إن المتظاهرين المؤيدين لفلسطين ليسوا معادين للسامية “ولا هم جزء من حركة إسلامية شريرة”. وأضاف: “إنهم يجعلون جيلًا من السياسيين الذين يبدو أنهم لا يعرفون تاريخهم يشعرون بالخجل”.
وناقش “دانكن” تصرفات إسرائيل في فلسطين منذ النكبة عام 1948، قائلا إنها “عملية مستمرة حتى الآن”.
وفي الشهر الماضي، قال حزب المحافظين إنه سيحقق مع “دانكن” بعد أن انتقد نوابًا آخرين في الحزب بشأن إسرائيل.
وكان النائب السابق قال لقناة “إل بي سي” إن مجموعة أصدقاء إسرائيل المحافظين “تنفذ أوامر” رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو.

Sir Alan Duncan: But let’s be clear as we sit here tonight, that those who have taken to the streets in the last few months are not anti-Semitic, nor are they some part of a sinister Islamist movement. Neither accusation should be allowed to detract from the fundamental cause they uphold which, is that Palestine has the right to be a state and indeed many… And the students who are campaigning in universities are not rabid militants. They are filling a moral vacuum created by inadequate politicians. So are those who have been marching every week to call for Palestine to be free. All Muslims are free of antisemitism and free of violence or vandalism, but they should proudly march on. They are putting to shame a generation of politicians who seem not to know their history, and who fail to appreciate the historic obligation to complete and fulfill the commitment made in 1917. So as we’ve heard the Nakba of 1948 is a process that continues even now. Some say the atrocities in Gaza today is a second Nakba and many Israeli leaders are promising it will be. But in truth, it has been a continuous story of Palestinian dispossession and expulsion at the hands of Israel with international complicity. If ever any good was to come out of the violence of those first two years during 1947-49, it should have seen the creation of both the state of Israel and the state of Palestine. Who for the last 76 years, could have been living side by side in peace and prosperity.
