HAMAS’S LEADER SENDS MESSAGE TO ISRAEL “THIS WILL ONLY HARDEN OUR RESOLVE “

Hamas’s political leader Ismail Haniyeh says all the “martyrs” of Palestine are his children after he was informed about the killing of his three sons and several grandchildren by an Israeli air strike in Gaza, earlier today.

In a statement he released later he vowed: “This noble blood that has been spilled, including my own children, will only strengthen our resolve. Make us more defiant to continue…until we win our freedom…” Haniyeh said.

TRT Anchor: An Israeli airstrike has killed several family members of Hamas’ political leader Ismail Haniyeh. Three of his sons and three of their children were killed while they were on their way to visit family members at the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza for Eid Al-Fitr. Haniyeh says the attack was driven by the spirit of revenge, murder and bloodshed, and will not affect Hamas’ ceasefire demands. The attack comes on the first day of Eid, one of the major holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. And this was the moment that Haniyeh was told about the death of his family members. He said, all the martyrs of Palestine are his children.

Ismail Haniyeh: “They believe that if they kill or assassinate leaders or their next of kin, that we will abandon our people, that we will abandon our resistance. They are mistaken. This noble blood that is spilled, including my own children, will harden our resolve, make us more defiant, more adamant to continue to march on this road, the road of struggle and resistance, until we win our freedom and the lawful rights of the Palestinian peoples are restored.”
