\nFrom INSIDE the ROOM:<\/p>\n

No photographic equipment was allowed in the court room so I used paper and pen as well as eyes and ears to record the events that I observed as Israel\u2019s defence team took the floor yesteray to present the case for Israel in its genocide case brought against it by the Republic of South Africa.<\/p>\n

As Israel\u2019s defence was called to begin by the President of the court, Judge Joan Donoghue, it became apparent that their line of argument was going to follow the same debunked, dispelled, unacceptable, unbelievable, unverified line that Israel has been pushing since Oct 7.<\/p>\n

Tal Becker, who delivered Israel\u2019s opennig statement, tried to convince the court and the world that South Africa had sullied the word \u201c\u201dGENOCIDE\u201d\u201d by accusing Israel of such a heinous crime whch should only be reserved for the most \u201c\u201dbarbaric actions\u201d\u201d.<\/p>\n

He went on and on but the fact that he and all zionists and anyone defending or supporting Israel\u2019s unconscionable and disproportionate attacks on the civilians of Gaza as \u201c\u201dBARBARIC\u201d\u201d is THE PROBLEM!<\/p>\n

I almost coughed in shock when I heard him say that but didn\u2019t want to get thrown out so swallowed my disbelief.<\/p>\n

There were many moments like this for me yesterday as I sat in the court room WITNESSING the FALSE and MISLEADING information Israel was using to defend its BARBARIC actions.

\nTal Becker: The Genocide Convention was not designed to address the brutal impact of intensive hostilities on the civilian population. Even when the use of force raises, quote, very serious issues of international law and involves enormous suffering and continuing loss of life, end quote. The convention was set apart to address a malevolent crime of the most exceptional severity.
