\nGeorges Lee: Always think about Tupac\u2019s poem. About the rose that grew from the cracks of the concrete. And then I see videos like this, and I view all these roses that’s growing through the cracks of the concrete. They have turned rubble into a swing set. This rubble that these kids are surviving in, navigating in, it was created with my tax dollars. I am gonna connect some dots for you. Just paid $1.4 billion last year to make sure that the kids keep on swinging in the rubble. Y\u2019all know my motto. Education is elevation. Right? Governor Greg Abbott in the Texas Education Agency bolstered educational resources on these conflicts for Texas students. Mind you, compared to all the other red states, we’ve lost the most education funding and they also been taken away curriculums from the classroom. But they added that one. It’s not just the state level in the Lone Star State, either. It’s also in little cities. Texas governor threatening entire city San Marcos funding because you better not pass a resolution about that. All of that. Just to maintain this reality of rubble, our state send $1.4 billion over there in just 2024 alone.
