Veteran Israeli journalist Gideon Levy says the ongoing war involving Israel, Iran, and the United States could become a historic turning point in US-Israel relations, arguing that decades of automatic American backing for Israel are beginning to fracture under mounting global scrutiny and political pressure.<\/p>\n

Levy warned that Washington\u2019s unwavering military and diplomatic support has enabled Israel\u2019s escalating regional wars, including the current confrontation with Iran, which has pushed the Middle East closer to a wider regional catastrophe. He argued that future American leaders may no longer be willing to sustain what he described as a \u201cblind and automatic\u201d alliance amid growing outrage over civilian deaths, destruction, and the expanding humanitarian crisis across the region.<\/p>\n

His remarks come as tensions continue to rise over the war on Iran, with reports of ongoing negotiations, ceasefire disputes, and growing divisions inside both the US and Israel over the direction of the conflict.<\/p>\n
