NEW YORK \u2014 Al Jazeera Fault Lines correspondent Josh Rushing dedicated the program\u2019s News Emmy award to the network\u2019s fallen colleagues during a poignant acceptance speech at the 47th annual ceremony. Fault Lines secured the award for Outstanding War or Violent Conflict Coverage for its investigative documentary, \u201cKids Under Fire,\u201d which examines the fatal targeting of children in Gaza.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Rushing explicitly challenged the political context of the ceremony, noting \u201cthe irony of accepting an award for covering a genocide in the very country that enabled it.\u201d He dedicated the honor to the 11 Al Jazeera journalists and over 270 media workers killed by Israeli forces since October 2023, while praising the international physicians who risked their lives to document forensic evidence of civilian casualties.<\/p>\n
