Two Palestinian footballers have been arrested.<\/p>\n

And according to the Palestinian Football Association, nobody has been told why.<\/p>\n

Rand Al-Halawani, a player for the Palestinian women\u2019s national team, and Natalie Abu Diya, a former national team player, remain in detention as questions grow over the circumstances surrounding their arrests by Israeli authorities.<\/p>\n

The Palestinian Football Association says the case is not an isolated incident.<\/p>\n

It says it is part of a broader pattern of targeting Palestinian athletes.<\/p>\n

The association has accused Israel of violating the rights of athletes and is calling for international accountability, warning that continued silence only enables further abuses.
\n The Palestinian Football Association says it will continue pursuing the case through international legal and sporting bodies.<\/p>\n

Because if global institutions claim to defend athletes\u2019 rights, then those protections must apply to Palestinian athletes too.<\/p>\n
