The corporate media spent years building up an image of Donald Trump as an untouchable, terrifying political titan. But journalist and author E. Jean Carroll just completely shattered that myth after a jury found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation, awarding her a massive $5.6M judgment.<\/p>\n

Far from an imposing figure, Carroll described him as a disgruntled elderly man wearing apricot makeup, with his hair done up like Tippi Hedren in The Birds, sitting at the defense table constantly moaning, groaning, and snorting within earshot of the jury.<\/p>\n

ccording to Carroll, he couldn\u2019t sit still, spit as he talked, and \u201cdidn\u2019t smell so good.\u201d He spent the trial actively belittling his own attorney while trying to intimidate the room.<\/p>\n

The high point came during closing arguments. As attorney Roberta Kaplan relentlessly cornered him\u2014asking the jury exactly how much money it would take to finally make him stop\u2014Trump completely unraveled. Carroll noted it looked like \u201csteam coming off his back and hot air blowing out his ears\u201d before he threw a tantrum, stood up mid-proceeding, and fled the courtroom.<\/p>\n

This is what happens when the elite power brokers are stripped of their teleprompters, curated rallies, and protective echo chambers. When forced to face a jury of everyday citizens, the illusion vanishes.<\/p>\n
