He took Bristol to an Employment Tribunal \u2014 and won. The university appealed. This week, the EAT rejected that appeal.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling: Miller\u2019s belief \u2014 that political Zionism is inherently racist, imperialist, and colonial, and therefore must be opposed \u2014 qualifies as a \u201cprotected philosophical belief\u201d under Section 10 of the Equality Act 2010. Bristol had argued his views were merely political opinion, not a protected belief.
