\nIn response to a journalist’s inquiry about the potential impact of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling on U.S. policy and approach to the war on Gaza, John Kirby, US National Security spokesman, expressed skepticism as to whether anything would change.<\/p>\n

The journalist specifically questioned whether the ruling might sway the president’s stance. Kirby emphasized that while the provisional order by the court is notable, it’s challenging to envision it as a sole catalyst for altering the current approach.<\/p>\n

“”The President believes the approach we have been taking has been getting results.””<\/p>\n

As the Biden administration continues to funnel billions of dollars in aid and military weapons to Israel, over 26,000 civilian Palestinian lives have been tragically lost in the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n

Journalist: Gaza, I mean I know that you’ve stated, or the statement has said that, you know, this goes in line with what you’ve been saying.<\/p>\n

John Kirby: Yeah. <\/p>\n

Journalist: But going forward, do you believe that it will change or sway the president? <\/p>\n

John Kirby: It’s hard. It’s hard to see that. I mean, I think we’ll have to watch this, this obviously just a provisional order by the court, we’ll have to watch how the process plays out. But it’s difficult to see that it alone is going to change the approach.
