Over 20 prominent Marvel Cinematic Universe stars\u2014including Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Cate Blanchett, and Tilda Swinton\u2014have joined an international coalition demanding the immediate release of imprisoned Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti.<\/p>\n

Imprisoned by Israeli forces for over 24 years, Barghouti\u2014widely referred to as \u201cPalestine\u2019s Nelson Mandela\u201d\u2014remains the most popular unifying political figure across Gaza and the West Bank.<\/p>\n

Recent legal reports reveal severe physical assaults, medical neglect, and guards setting attack dogs on Barghouti inside Israeli Megiddo prison.
\nThe Inter-Parliamentary Union and global legal experts have long condemned his initial trial for violating international law and Geneva conventions.
