Archival news reports and historic press documentation expose the official doctrine instituted by then-Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin during the First Intifada in 1988.<\/p>\n

On February 26, 1988, a CBS News camera crew captured four Israeli soldiers holding down Palestinian teenage shepherds, Wael and Osamah Joudeh, beating them with heavy stones for over 30 minutes to systematically break their arms and limbs.<\/p>\n

Human rights groups estimate between 23,600 and 29,000 Palestinian children required urgent medical treatment for severe bone fractures and crippling injuries during this period.<\/p>\n

The violence we see today is rooted in decades of state-sanctioned oppression. \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf8<\/p>\n
