I WENT TO SOUTH LEBANON TO SEE THE EXTENT OF ISRAEL\u2019S DESTRUCTION.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m standing with a friend of mine, Abbas al Haj Ahmad, in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, a small village next to Ali al-Taher, the site of massive Israeli bombings overnight. Abbas can\u2019t enter his own village. He can\u2019t go back to his family home because it has been destroyed amply with the homes of his brothers, sisters and cousins. It is almost empty. Everyone\u2019s gone. Displaced. Abbas is trying not to break down on camera as he looks around at the empty , silent, ghostlike village that provided him th happiest times of his youth.<\/p>\n

It was heartbreaking and the world needs to hear these true stories. <\/p>\n

Israel must be stopped!<\/p>\n

Abbass: So, we\u2019re in Nabatiyeh-al-Fawqa, right next to Ali al Taher. We had a very bad explosion yesterday. This is my village I can’t enter. I can’t see my house, like my house is destroyed. Four of my houses are destroyed. My cousin’s houses are destroyed. And, it’s a very, very dramatic time. And we are hearing that the drowns. I’m trying like… not to get emotional. I’m very emotional. Imagine, like, I can’t enter my village and look, we don’t have anybody here. All my people are displaced outside Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa. We have, like…<\/p>\n

Daizy: Everyone’s abandoned the village. There’s no one here. Basically, you see a car passing. <\/p>\n

Abbass: You can\u2019t pass this point because…<\/p>\n

Daizy: This is a prohibited area because it’s very dangerous. So there’s an army post just over here in this area, and they’re…<\/p>\n

Abbass: They are destroying more houses everyday like you are you will hear now maybe more explosions. Every day, 4 or 5 houses are destroyed. So I think Nabatiyeh al Fawqa will be like a new Bint Jbeil. new Khiam. Same scenario is happening now in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa. Okay. And I hope we finish this, as soon as possible. This situation.<\/p>\n

Daizy: Well, we will get out of this problem, but the reality is that Israel is intensifying and escalating and claiming that the Lebanese framework agreement with the Lebanese government is falling apart and it’s justified, allegedly justified in destroying more and more homes and villages in southern Lebanon and entering further and further. And as Abbass was talking about last night, the bombings and the destruction and the detonations on the ridge, Ali Taher, which is a strategic point in South Lebanon, were extravagant. There were huge. We’re going to go and have a look at that. But I just wanted to bring that to you from Abbass’s perspective.<\/p>\n

Abbass: We are sending a lot of messages to the government, to the president, to the Lebanese army to do more and give us more attention and give us more support and support to avoid the destruction in our cities and our villages.<\/p>\n
