One had her badge disabled mid-shift.<\/p>\n<p>The response wasn\u2019t fear. It was solidarity. CBS, NBC, ABC, and even Fox News \u2014 Trump\u2019s own favored network \u2014 refused to fill CNN\u2019s pool slot. No replacement crew. No coverage. Trump showed up to the UN General Assembly with no press pool behind him for the first time in memory. The New York Times and Washington Post withheld their own photos in protest. The AP said it plainly: \u201cNo news organization \u2014 or person \u2014 should be retaliated against by the government over the words they use.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When a government tries to punish reporters for reporting, and even its allies refuse to go along with it, that\u2019s not partisanship.
