\nDay after day, more shocking details and surprises are revealed about the war in Gaza, the latest of which is what was revealed by the Washington Post that 10% of those killed by the Israeli army in ground battles in the Gaza Strip are American citizens. Although those who hold an American passport are about 2% of the total population of Israel. The US Embassy in Jerusalem acknowledged this news and announced that at least 23 American citizens were killed in recent months while serving in the Israeli army and police. The newspaper also reported that thousands of Americans and Israelis who hold American citizenship left the United States to join the Israeli army and fight in Gaza immediately after October 7. What united these people was their strong commitment to Israel, in which they found an identity that went far beyond their American passport.
