Iceland decides to teach Eurovision a lesson in morality.

After global calls for Eurovision to BAN ISRAEL from the competition because of its war of genocide in Gaza which has left more than 30,000 civilians dead and over 72,000 injured, festival organisers refused to comply with public demand and allowed the Israeli artiststs to compete.

Iceland was not satisfied so it decided to select a Palestinian artist to represent it at this year’s competition and ensure that a Palestinian voice, face, story is represented and… as a clear “FU” to Eurovision and Israel!!

SWEET 🍉

English Script:

Yo, Iceland are cracking me up. Okay, Just listen to what they did. So initially they threatened to boycott Eurovision if Israel wasn’t pulled out of that period. But when Eurovision would not pull Israel out of the competition, this is what they did. Iceland voted in a Palestinian singer to represent them. If that isn’t the biggest fuck you ever ever seen. I love it. I love it. Their name is Bashar Mourad, and literally they make music about the occupation, about Palestine and this has given me so much joy. If you don’t know, a few years ago, the band that was representing Iceland also held up this flag like during the song contest, and they literally got fined for it and still did it anyway. Now I am boycotting Eurovision. I’m not going to watch it. However, I’m going to look at the clips of Iceland, see how our boy Bashar is doing, and if you are going to watch it, then at least vote for Iceland. Also, shout out to the other countries and other artists that are calling for Israel to be banned from Eurovision. I mean, the fact that Israel’s song that they’ve chosen is called October Rain. Like Israel is trying so hard right now, guys, they are so desperate. Anyway, Free Palestine.
