\nBREAKING NEWS!<\/p>\n

The Canadian Parliament will vote today on a motion put forward by the New Democratic Party (NDP) to decide whether to OFFICIALLY RECOGNISE PALESTINE AS A STATE!<\/p>\n

The Jerusalem Post reported that the NDP’s motion sponsored by its leader Jagmeet Singh calls on the Canadian government to “officially recognize the State of Palestine and maintain Canada\u2019s recognition of Israel\u2019s right to exist and to live in peace with its neighbors,” and to “advocate for an end to the decades-long occupation of Palestinian territories and work toward a two-state solution.”<\/p>\n

The motion also advocates for the government to sanction certain Israelis and boycott of defense trade with Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

“Ban extremist settlers from Canada, impose sanctions on Israeli officials who incite genocide, and maintain sanctions on Hamas leaders…Suspend all trade in military goods and technology with Israel and increase efforts to stop the illegal trade of arms, including to Hamas,” the Jerusalem Post article stated.<\/p>\n

On Al MayadeenTV, NDP MP Heather McPherson was stated saying: “It’s time for Canada to do more, to build a peaceful resolution for the people of Palestine and the people of Israel.”<\/p>\n

Critic of the motion, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather stated: \u201c…the NDP has a motion that it pitches as a call for a ceasefire. It does so without demanding Hamas surrender & no longer rule Gaza. It also calls for a litany of other things hostile to Israel. Changing foreign policy to reward a terrorist attack. Not smart.\u201d<\/p>\n

If the motion passes it will be an historic win for humanity and justice and hopefully set a precedent for other nation states to take courage from and follow suit. If the UN and other international bodies aren’t going to take the necessary actions, individual nations have to so as to end PM Netanyahu’s violent, obsessive and revengeful punishment against millions of innocent people just so he can eliminate an enemy (Hamas) he helped create.<\/p>\n
