\nAmnesty International, a human rights organisation, have released a video on St Patrick\u2019s Day targeted at American President, Joe Biden, reminding him of his Irish roots. The video goes on to demand Biden push for a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The video features Irish actress Nicola Coughlan, Irish singer, Mary Black, and Irish actress Siobhan McSweeney.<\/p>\n

“I feel you are a good man and I appeal to that goodness now to hear the desperate cries of the people of Gaza.”<\/p>\n

President Biden, in the face of this devastating crisis, we call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Israel. We are making this plea to prevent further civilian losses and secure a life saving aid access for those in Gaza. Amnesty International found US-made munitions, killed 43 civilians. That’s 19 children, 14 women and 10 men. It’s time to suspend the weapon transfers to Israel. Let’s unite in demanding the removal of restrictions on vital humanitarian supplies and restoration of services, ensuring that Gazans have essential water, fuel, food and medical support they critically need. Lastly, we urge the lifting of the 16 year blockade on Gaza and the dismantling of the apartheid system imposed on Palestinians by the Israeli government. President Biden, I remember fondly your recent trip to Ireland and how proud we all were of our American Irish president. I feel you are a good man and I appeal to that goodness now to hear the desperate cries of the people of Gaza. President Biden, you have a special responsibility. Let us foster peace, justice and the protection of human rights in this critical moment.<\/p>\n
