Nina Turner, a former NY state senator, points out the flawed logic of the US and why they are so negligent of the famine in Gaza and all around the world! They neglect the homeless in their OWN CITY! What makes you think that such a corrupt regime will altruistically extend its hand to another suffering country?<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t do politics, politics is gonna do you. And it does matter who is in these offices and we need to hold people accountable. We need to make a demand!\u201d<\/p>\n

This is an important lesson for all of us to learn no matter what country or what state we live in.<\/p>\n

We CANNOT remain ignorant of our own domestic politics!!<\/p>\n

If our own governments aren\u2019t serious about fixing homelessness, child poverty, domestic violence, joblessness, equal rights, gender rights, etc. at home then they certainly will have no regard for these issues abroad unless it buys them political clout and leverage on the international polical scene.<\/p>\n

WE NEED TO ENGAGE IN OUR OWN POLITICAL SCENE AND EITHER GET INTO POLITICS OR MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE WE ARE VOTING FOR HAVE THE RIGHT VALUES AND IF THEY DON\u2019T FOLLOW THROUGH ON THEIR PROMISES – WE VOTE THEM OUT.<\/p>\n

WE HAVE THE POWER.

\nNina Turner: There’s nothing wrong with saying I want this world to be a better place because of mine, and that is one of the reasons why I’m out there fighting so hard. What happens over there happens over here. So we can have people living in famine. We can’t allow nations just to rise up and try to eradicate other people because what happens over there happens over here.
\nYou know why they don’t give a damn about what’s happened in Gaza? Because they don’t care what’s happening in New York City. They don’t care about the homelessness here or in Cleveland. You know why? They don’t give a damn about starving kids over there in Gaza or Haiti or the Congo or famine and all of that? Because there are people here.
\nHomelessness has increased over the last two years in this country. 60% of Americans say they are living paycheck to paycheck. What happens over there is a reflection of what happens over here. And so we’ve got to say to people that we are connected. Again, if you don’t do politics, politics is going to do you. And it does matter who is in these offices and we need to hold people accountable. We need to make a demand and there needs to be a consequence for that demand. I know my mom’s house. You know, my mom is not here anymore. And Charlamagne definitely knows this story and so does Dowdell. She died when she was 42. She had a brain aneurysm and that just shook my whole life. I am here by the grace of an almighty God but in my mama’s house, and my dad is still here, rocking it, playing full court basketball at 75. Shoutout to you, Daddy. This is the thing though. When my momma said do something, my mother was the custodial parent. You know, my parents were married, but she was custodial.
\nHey my mum, you got to do what Mama say. There will be a consequence if you don’t. You got to do what Daddy says or there will be a consequence. We as voters, both black voters and other voters of consciousness, we need to bind together and say you are going to do for us or there will be a consequence to it. Let me give you an example. East Palestine, Ohio. Poor whites voted over 70% for Donald J. Trump. Them people have been poisoned by a railroad company, Norfolk Southern. Train derailed, chemicals all up in their water, air, everything. It took Biden the year even show up to go to show up. So again, what happens over there in East Palestine, happens in Cleveland, Ohio, happens in in any of the boroughs here. Happens in Chicago. So that’s why we gotta care. There is a connection, there is an intersection, and policy is about power. We got to follow the policy. Show me the policy and I tell you what you care about. Follow the money and I’ll show you what you care about. If you can constantly increase the military budget, they can\u2019t even pass an audit. But they keep getting more and more money by Democrats and Republicans. You mean to tell me in a hegemonic nation we can’t have universal health care so people don’t go bankrupt?
