Israeli media are reporting that the country’s military is recalling air defence reservists to their bases in anticipation of an attack from Iran.<\/p>\n

“I won\u2019t be surprised if Iran fires directly at Israel,\u201d former Military Intelligence head Amos Yadlin stated, explaining that a January missile strike carried out by Iran on neighbouring Pakistan set a precedent for such action.<\/p>\n

This comes after Israel struck an Iranian Embassy in Syria, killing at least 11 people including a top Iranian commander, General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said that Iran \u201creserves the right to carry out a reaction and will decide on the type of response and the punishment of the aggressor\u201d.<\/p>\n

Some reports indicate that Israeli citizens are fleeing the country in fear of an Iranian strike. Additionally, there are indications that Israel has evacuated embassy staff in Baku, Azerbaijan, a country to the North of Iran. However, Israel denies this and states the embassy is operating as normal.<\/p>\n

On a separate note, the Iraqi resistance has announced its intention to prop up a resistance force in Jordan as tensions flare in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Islamic Resistance in Iraq has prepared its equipment to equip our brothers, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Jordan, to meet the need of 12,000 fighters with light and medium weapons, anti-armor launchers, tactical missiles, ammunition, and tons of explosives,\u201d Askari said.<\/p>\n

The resistance is growing. Israel is crumbling.<\/p>\n

Israeli media are reporting that this is in anticipation of a possible response from Iran. That’s after Israel attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, on Monday, killing senior Iranian military officials. Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut is in occupied East Jerusalem. Hamdah Salhut: We’re learning that after an assessment with the Israeli Army Chief of Staff and the defense ministry, the Israeli army has decided to bolster its air defense array, meaning that they’re going to be calling up reservists in anticipation for retaliation, but where it will be is not yet known. All of this comes after the Israeli attack on the Iranian missions in Damascus. And remember, just last week, Israel’s defense minister Yoav Galant, hinting at these Israeli strikes in Damascus, though never claiming responsibility, saying that Israel is in active pursuit of Hezbollah, any Iranian proxies wherever enemies may lie, whether that’s Beirut, anywhere else in Lebanon, in Damascus, or anywhere else in the world. And it also comes after just a few days ago, the Israeli Army Chief of Staff authorizing new plans, he says, for bolstering these attacks on Hezbollah targets, he says, in southern Lebanon.
