Jerusalem-born rapper Saint Levant dedicated his debut set at Coachella, the world\u2019s largest music festival, to Gaza prompting widespread support online.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old @saintlevant spent several years in the Gaza Strip during his childhood. In 2007, his family was forced to relocate to Amman, Jordan.<\/p>\n

Saint Levant\u2019s comments sparked an outburst of support online, with fans and Palestinian activists lauding the artist for using his platform to talk about Gaza.<\/p>\n

Palestinian flags and keffiyehs were raised and \u201cFree Palestine\u201d chants were heard throughout the crowd, AFP reported.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s assault on Gaza, which began after the 7 October Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel, has killed more than 33,000 people, including 14,500 children.<\/p>\n

Some 1.5 million people have taken refuge in the southern city of Rafah, while Israel plans a military assault on the city. The UN says Israel is blocking vital food supplies into the territory.<\/p>\n
