Flashback to one of those classical, unforgettable moments in history when Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim expressed Kuwait\u2019s true feelings about the deal to normalises relations with Israel being sold, shopped, pushed by the then Trump Administration, through his son-in-law Jared Kushner.<\/p>\n

Addressing the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference in Amman, Jordan, on February 8, 2020, Al-Ghanim said that \u201cthe Deal of the Century was born dead\u201d and that it was rejected by the Palestinians as well as the Arabs and Muslims. He added that \u201cnobody supports this monstrous formula\u201d.<\/p>\n

Al-Ghanim held up a copy of the Deal of the Century and said that this document belongs in the garbage bin of history. He proceeded to toss it into the trash. The conference was aired on Al-Majlis TV (Kuwait).<\/p>\n

Kuwaiti officials rejected the possibility of normalizing ties with Israel telling a local newspaper that it had no interest in changing its longstanding regional policies, emphasizing their country\u2019s support for the Palestinians and asserted that any rapprochement would have to meet with their approval.<\/p>\n
