An aid worker who was part of Belgium\u2019s development aid efforts in the Gaza Strip was killed in an Israeli strike yesterday. In response, the Belgium government announced their intention to summon the Israeli ambassador over the incident.<\/p>\n

Belgium\u2019s Development Minister Caroline Gennez said in a statement that 33-year-old Abdallah Nabhan and his seven-year-old son died after a bombardment by the Israeli army in the eastern part of the southern city of Rafah.<\/p>\n

Nabhan, whose nationality was not disclosed, worked for the Belgian Enabel agency, assisting small businesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will summon the Israeli ambassador to condemn this unacceptable act & demand an explanation,\u201d said Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib in a post on X.<\/p>\n

According to the government in Brussels, at least seven people were killed by the strike on a building that housed about 25 people, including displaced people from other parts of the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

The world must realise that NO ONE is safe from Israeli terrorism. They are MASS killing thousands in the Gaza Strip regardless of nationality, religion and occupation status. With NO respect for international law, aid workers, medical staff and others who are protected in times of war, are in EXTREME DANGER as the genocidal state pays NO attention to so-called \u201cRules of WAR\u201d, Conventions or international humanitarian law.<\/p>\n
