FINALLY, Arab and Muslim have decided to escalate their condemnation of Israel\u2019s atrocities in Gaza and call for sanctions. But this is NOT ENOUGH. THEY SHOULD UNILATERALLY IMPOSE SANCTIONS.<\/p>\n

Here is the official report on the decision:<\/p>\n

Arab and Muslim officials meeting in Saudi Arabia\u2019s capital Riyadh overnight urged the international community to impose \u201ceffective sanctions\u201d including \u00ab halting arms exports \u00bb to Israel in response to its \u201cwar crimes\u201d against Palestinians.<\/p>\n

The officials accused Israel of violating international law and committing \u201cwar crimes\u201d in both Gaza and the West Bank, and expressed their opposition to Israel\u2019s long-feared invasion of Rafah city in southern Gaza.<\/p>\n

The officials \u201calso stressed the need to activate international legal tools to hold Israeli officials accountable for these crimes, and the need to stop settler terrorism and take clear and firm stances against it,\u201d the Saudi foreign ministry said on its website.<\/p>\n

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan chaired the meeting of the Ministerial Gaza Contact Group Committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit to discuss the war in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by the Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Egyptian top diplomat Sameh Shoukry, State Minister at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hussein Al-Sheikh, and Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the president of the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

The discussions also discussed \u00ab the necessary steps to implement the two-state solution and recognizing the State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, \u00bb the statement added.<\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s discussions came a day after Prince Faisal chaired a meeting of the six-party Arab ministerial group in Riyadh to discuss the war in Gaza.<\/p>\n
