Abir Al-Sahlani, a Swedish Member of the EU, this week spoke out, yet again, for the Palestinians and their RIGHT TO HUMANITY.<\/p>\n

\u201cPalesitnian children, men and women, have the right to survive, to live, to thrive in peace and in dignity. Hamas does not equal the entire Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s astounding that politicians need to be told and convinced that a people have the right to life. The fact that Al Sahlani has to get up and deliver this speech exposes the crossroads that our morality has reached.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is the world doing about it? What are we doing about it? If we have any morals left, or ethics or even the slightest piece of empathy, the smallest thing that we can ask for and demand is a ceasefire now.\u201d<\/p>\n

On a persosnal level, each and every one of us MUST ask ourselves the questions she posed. There\u2019s an INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY for ALL HUMANS to do their part for Gaza.<\/p>\n

At a time when our leaders have failed us, it is OUR DUTY to step in and FILL THE MORAL VOID.<\/p>\n

\nAbir Alsahlani: Let me first establish some basic truths. The state of Israel has a right to exist. It has the right to defend itself. Netanyahu, who does not equal the entire Israel. Palestinian children, men and women, have the right to survive, to live, to thrive in peace and in dignity. Hamas does not equal the entire Palestine. Human rights is not a cake. One people’s human rights does not mean that other people have to die. The ICJ, the world’s highest judicial authority, has imposed provisional measures on the state of Israel not once but twice. Measures that the state of Israel is obliged to follow. This House is not a court, but we can all see it. The ICJ has seen it. What is the world doing about it? What are we doing about it? If we have any morals left or ethics, or even the slightest piece of empathy, the smallest thing that we can ask for and demand is a ceasefire now.<\/p>\n
