Netanyahu: America is not a unified block. We have the senate, the congress and a record strong Jewish lobby on our side. We have a strong influence over the general support in America. America won\u2019t force us into anything.<\/p>\n

What happened with the Oslo Accords? the accords which were ratified by parliament. I was asked before the (1996) elections, \u201cwill you fulfill them?\u201d I said \u201cyes, subject to reciprocity and minimising pullouts\u201d. I gave my own interpretation to the agreement in such a way that will allow me to stop the race back towards the 1967 borders.<\/p>\n

How did we manage to do this?<\/p>\n

Nobody defined what \u201cmilitary facilities\u201d are. Si I also defined them as being \u201csecurity zones\u201d. The entire Jordan Valley for me is a \u201cmilitary facility\u201d. Nobody has\u2026<\/p>\n

Yeah, like the Beit Shean valley.<\/p>\n

You see go figure, but there was the question of who will define these military facilities\u201d. I received a letter from secretary of state, Warren Christopher to me and to Arafat at the same time saying Israel, and Israel alone will define the \u201cmilitary facilities\u201d, their locations and size. Now, they didn\u2019t want5 to give me this letter, so I refused to ratify the Hebron accords (of 1997). I stopped the government meeting and \u201cI said I won\u2019t sign\u201d. And only when the letter has arrived during that meeting to me and to Arafat, I signed the Hebron Accords. It\u2019s better to give 2% than 100%, and this is the choice we faced.<\/p>\n

In sense of what terrorism is not. In 1944, the British Royal Air Force sets out on a bombing mission. The target is the Gestapo headquarters in Copenhagen, perfect target. The planes loosed the bombs, dropped the bombs, and they miss. Instead of the Gestapo headquarters, they hit a children’s hospital, and scores of children are horribly killed. This is an accidental, tragic outcome of war. This can happen, but it is not terrorism. Well, let me try to give an instance of what terrorism…<\/p>\n

Do the Palestinians have a right to a separate state? Well, Mr. John has been talking about human rights.<\/p>\n

Well, I think that\u2026no, I don’t think they do. But I think that it’s quite instructive that the Palestinians who are invoking the right of self-determination, which is an attribute for separate nations themselves, are the ones who defined themselves as part of the Arab nation.<\/p>\n

What should be done with the Palestinians on the West Bank? They have a problem so what should be done in your opinion?<\/p>\n

Well, I think that the Palestinians in the West Bank are going to be offered the full human rights, the full civil rights as there are no Arabs are offered in the Middle East, no Arabs whatsoever have any full human rights or the right to vote for their own government.<\/p>\n

Those Arabs who lived in Israel and the pre 67 boundaries are the only Arabs in the Middle East to offer that right. And I’m all in favour of having the same Arabs living in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip being offered such a right final peace agreements><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
